Taken from the series of Southern Vampire Mysteries books written by Charlaine Harris, True Blood HBO show has become a sensation on television. After winning two Golden Globe and an Emmy in the first season, how could it be anything other than hitting a success? What is ironic is that several critical overview of performance known originally as the New York Post critic saying, "Everyone is dying of boredom ... [that] while his blood ran cold as leave you cold. " Clearly, critics are not always correct when it comes to deciding what the public will like.
True Blood is set in Bon Temps, Louisiana, a small village rather wild. Sookie Stackhouse is the mind-reading waitress at Merlotte's, a local bar. The adventures begin when Sookie meets and falls for 173 years old vampire, Bill Compton. It turns out that thanks to technology and synthetic blood, vampires do not have to take advantage of human beings more and can live very well with people ... well, at least at night.
The show is produced by Alan Ball, the man behind another well-received HBO's "Six Feet Under. Ball also wrote several early shows, and the address of at least two. Our mind-reading heroine, Sookie is played by Anna Paquin, who won an Oscar for his role in the film The Piano. The adorable creepy vampire bar is played by Stephen Moyer, who is best known for her role in The Starter Wife.

When True Blood premiered on September 7, 2008, the audience does not look promising, with only 1.44 million viewers for the first episode. Compared with the latest films HBO show Big Love, and with 4,560,000 viewers, it was unknown what would happen. However, the audience has virtually exploded in the three seasons that True Blood has been exciting and now fans of the series has become the most watched HBO series from the popular series, The Sopranos.
